Please use a tape measure, using the illustration
guide to take your body measurement.
Garments may vary in size specification depending on the style and
ease allowance but will still fit the body size indicated.
How do I measure myself for a bra?
Actual sizes of a bra may vary, due to manufacturers, designs, fabrics, structure, and bra type, so buying a bra in person, try at least 10 bras on so you can begin to get an idea of what size you generally take and then you will know what to ask for online with a little more accuracy.
Remember: the number is your back width; the letter is your breast size!
When you are measuring yourself, always put the tape measure next to the skin, not over any clothing or bra.
Step 1
To find your back size (this is the measurement that reads 32, 34, 36, 38 etc) hold the tape measure firmly; measure directly under the breasts and straight across and around your back. When you have a number, add 4 inches to an even number and 5 inches to an odd number. T
he end total will be your back size.
Step 2
To measure your cup size, (this is the A, B, C, D, E part of the size on the label) measure around your back and around the fullest part of the bust in inches. This must be a loose measurement, do not flatten the breasts while doing so, or pull the tape too tightly.
Step 3
Subtract the back size (STEP 1) from the second measurement (STEP 2). The DIFFERENCE determines your cup size, according to the chart below:

Some designs, even of the same manufacturer, “run on the large side” or “run on the small size” different to what a label may tell you. But if you find that as a rule, one set size generally fits you, there is a tip to help you still find a fit that works for you, even if ‘your size’ is out of stock.
Many women can use either one or another range of back size. For instance, if you fit a 32B bra, and sometimes do the back up on the loosest hook, you’ll most likely be able to get away with comfortably wearing a 34A size on a tighter setting.
Just remember the rule: when you go up a back a back size, you go down a cup size.
Larger back size, smaller cup required!
